2000+ STOCK Jeep camshaft P/N

Post by Missourian »

Can someone tell me the part number for a 2000+ 4.0L Jeep STOCK camshaft -or- equal/better quality manufacturer and part number with same STOCK specifications?

Thanks for your help.
I have a 4.6L STOKER in my 2000 Jeep Wrangler with 4.5" lift on 35" BFG MT and 4.56:1 gears.

OEM has a part number of 53010448AA and I am being quoted $270.00 :brickwall:

Surely there are other sources for stock profile camshaft and I would assume them to be considerably cheaper than the stealership.

Some help here, please! :stick:

Thanks, that gives me a lot to work from. Many of these online stores are tough to research what these provided.

You may also want to ask your machine shop about one.

Strangely enough my machine shop has American Engine Rebuilding manuals (or something named like that) for the rebuilding of a whole range of engines including several Jeep blocks but none of them reflect my 2002 53010328AB casting # block. He has ordered two camshafts and had to return them both as the warehouse keeps sending the wrong stuff when he reflects the block casting and year of engine.

I have tracked down a Melling Camshaft from the link you provided to buy direct from Northern Auto Parts in addition to timing gears/chain. I am hopeful that he can buy the stuff tomorrow to complete the build with the part numbers for the Melling crankshaft & timing gears/chain.
