Posted this on another sight, but had no replies...
My engine swap got delayed for a few days so I tried to do a dry run on the last few minor stuff. I do not have a Power Steering Bracket that appears to fit my manifold. My current intake is a 92 intake and the casting part number is 53007076. The power steering pump bracket is 53007616 and goes on every cherokee. The mount points for the ps bracket is the water pump and a casting off the front of the intake. These holes are offset front to back on the 92/ not in the same plane. The New intake casting number 53010236 has the ps pump mounts all in the same plane. I have researched that casting number and it is good for a cherokee 96-98. According to my parts guy at jeep the bracket for my PS pump fits all jeep cherokee's in the years I am mixing . Not sure where to go from here, help would be appreciated

Re: Power steering bracket
with out pics its hard to say but, 96 is when they changed to the new PS pump iirc. so that means that you need a 96+ PS pump to go with it. like you do when you put the 99+ intake on

Re: Power steering bracket
When I swapped an '01 XJ intake manifold into my '92 XJ 2 years ago, I also swapped in the PS pump and mounting bracket from the same vehicle. My '92 mounting bracket wouldn't fit on the '01 manifold and it would have been too much hassle to try modifying it.
You'll need the PS pump and bracket from a '97+ XJ or '96+ TJ.

Re: Power steering bracket
Thanks, I will send some pictures tomorrow. I thought that the power steering pump on the 97's are not adjustable...if so how do I set my belt tension since on my 92, the pump was my tensioner...thanks

Re: Power steering bracket
The pump bolts straight to the intake manifold, and there is a bracket that attaches to the front of the pump, block and WP. That bracket has an adjustable idler which now adjusts the belt tension.

Re: Power steering bracket
Thanks for the help I have purchased a 97 TJ power steering bracket with adjustable pulley and my 97 XJ pump should be here in a few days. Question...What is done with the idler pulley currently used in my 92 config...it is mounted between the AC compressor and the water pump pulley. Do I remove it and just use the new idler on the Power steering bracket or do I use both idler pulleys..thanks

Re: Power steering bracket
Its up to you on how you want to route your new belt. I left mine and routed the belt like so:
