Has anyone had experience with this package. It says up to 60 hp gains wich I am sure is bored 60
over. I am not interested in 60 but more around 30.
I am interested in this package because of products you get and the dollar amount.
Let me know what you think, I am looking for advice on my soon to start build.

Are you talking about this: http://www.shop.505performance.com/prod ... tegoryId=1?
60 hp isn't an unreasonable goal. That kit doesn't look like everything you will need though. From the way I read it you get a crank, rods, pistons, arp rod bolts installed, balanced, rings and bearings. Below are some prices I found and from experience. They aren't the cheapest, but they were the quickest to come by.
Scat crank $400 most
Keith Black IC944 pistons $414
ARP rod bolts $56
Rod resize and bolt install $90
Rings: $60
Bearings $60
Balance: $100
You will still need cam, lifters, timing set, gaskets, machine work, head work possibly, etc.

Re: 505 performance 60 hp gains
Thanks Silver,
That is the kit I was looking at. I have also looked around at buying it by parts. The cheapest piston I found were on Summit but it is always on back order or at least there ship date changes every day. Those are kb944 also.
I guess I will stick to the original plan and buy parts from different locations.
It will be easier on my wallet also. A little over time does not hurt as much

Re: 505 performance 60 hp gains
I ended up going with the KB-944 pistons also. My local machine shop had no prob getting the pistons from his supplier. I went with rods and a 4.2L crank from Zach at 505. Had the 5.0L stroker kit from 505 but didnt like the way the rods fit on the crank.. Maybe im too old school but it didnt look right to me, definitely didnt look like it would make a 50,000 mile motor. So went to the 4.6L stroker instead, way less bore and more stock parts. Should be a more dependable setup.

Re: 505 performance 60 hp gains
The 4.6L stroker performed well in Baja.. The engine quit but it was the pickup for the ignition/fuel injection got nailed by a branch or something that came up through the bottom. Had it running in 15 mins again but will make a beefier bracket for the pickup and a skidplate to protect from anything like that again.. Like I say engine ran great, lots of power and pulls like a demon from 1500 to 4500..
