No, it is normal. Just because your XJ is 49 psi does not mean all Jeeps are. Below is directly out of the 2005 Jeep TJ FSM, and exactly why everyone needs to verify the specifications for their engine. There is good information on this forum, but not every bit of information touted as gospel is correct.

I stand corrected. So what year did they change? 2005? Got any specs on the injectors on it?

I am not sure when they changed as I have not looked that deep into the history of it. According to Bruce at Fiveomotorsport my stock injectors are rated at 22lbs/hr at 43.5psi which makes them 25.9lbs/hr at my 60psi stock. The mopar part number on the injectors is 53013690AA.

FYI -- according to the tech at a local dealer the 2000 and 2001 Grand Cherokee should have 58+-2 psi as well. You may want to stop by your local dealership and have them print out a spec sheet for you so you know for certain.

Now, that is incorrect. 99, 00 and 04 WJ FSM state 49.2 psi +-5 psi. Also verified on 2004 4.0L & 4.7L WJ.

That is exactly why I recommend getting a printout from the dealer if you do not have access to a FSM, this ensures it is looked up and gives you something you can hold with the correct information.

2001 WJ 4.0 and 4.7 are also 49.2 psi +/- 5 psi
