ok so now that i have a 2000 intake i have some questions.
1. what throttle body/sensors do i use?
2. its going on a 92 cherokee, what power steering pump and ther stuff i use?
3. anything else you can think of would be appreiciated
BTW: i have the 2000 sitting here so the parts are avail. thanks to my brother who totaled it yesterday
and i plan on using the 92 fuel rail
ok thanks. i havent looked at it all that close yet, but in a pic that somone posted it looked like the 2000 intake used 3 bolts to hold the throttle body on. the 92 uses 4. but like i said i havent looked at the parts that close yet. (but i will today )
All 91+ (non -renix) use 4 bolts to hold the throttle body down. They are pretty much all interchangeable with the exception of the later ones having the MAP sensor bolted to the throttle body.

I did the same swap nearly 2 years ago. The parts I swapped in were the '01 XJ intake manifold, PS pump, and mounting bracket with tensioner pulley. I reused the existing TB, injector rail/regulator, fuel lines, and injectors.
It was a straightforward swap except for needing to extend the wires to the IAT sensor and reroute a couple of vacuum lines.
ok so i finally got around to putting the new intake and power steering on. probly woulnt have gotten to it yet but i had to change the motor mount on the intake side so well it was out i did the swap. well im not supper impressed with it. its not got any more power, unless the computer needs to relearn it. cause i lined mine up next to a stock 93 cherokee that my cousin has and he stayed right with me i dont know if it was cause i have 31s or all the extra weight in bumpers and being taller, but it was just sickening
When I installed mine I also installed a 62mm TB, I could feel in the "seat of the pants", but I believe the main benefit of the '99+ is that it lowers the power band a couple hundred RPM to more user friendly range.
You can get more power out of ANY engine!!!
ASE Master certified engine machinist, gas and diesel
I also gained ~1mpg in fuel economy so that was the greatest benefit of all, and that was after I'd raised the MAP voltage to correct a lean condition immediately after the manifold swap.
yea the power band moved a little and fuel milage went up but im aslo running 92 oct in it i figure there robbing us anyways so why not spend the extra $4 a tank and have a happier jeep. but it still is sad that a stocker kept up with me.

What gears did you upgrade to when you put the larger than stock tires on?

Check the color of your plugs. My engine ran lean after the manifold swap (plugs were white) and I needed to raise the MAP sensor input voltage to compensate. The performance improvement wasn't great but I could feel a subtle difference by the SOTP, and gas mileage is still ~1mpg better than before even with the raised MAP voltage.
