Valve cover grommet madness

Post by dingo151 »

Geez... I'm right up to the end and can't get it finished! :brickwall: When I started my stroker I bought a valve cover off Ebay but now I cant find the right setup to hook up to the PVC system. The holes in my valve cover measure 1" but all the dealer can provide is the twist to lock kind that was on the old engine and the newer setup that uses a 1.5" hole. Anybody else run in to this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
Dean

Is it a PVC or CCV "crank case ventilation"front comes from the breather tube and rear goes into manifold. If so I got mine from Hesco. I believe they were about 7 or 8 bucks a piece. They just snapped right in. I am not sure what year your engine is. Future posters will want to know this. Mine was a 97 just for your info :wiggle:

Mine is a CCV as there isn't a true PCV Valve...... The ones I tried were for a 96 to 2002? but like I said they were just too big!

If you go to advanceauto they have mr. Gasket baffled grommets that are 1" hanging on the wall. If you do not have an advanceauto you can try other local shops (try your machine shop) or order one onlne from summit or Jegs.
