TO "JET CHIP" OR NOT TO "JET CHIP" ?
I was wondering if any body here has used the "JET CHIPS" for the ob1 jeep 4.0; Do they really do all the stuff they say they do? and did any body notice any real hp gains or torque? I only ask because ive heard they are not to reliable and most guys that install them don't really see any change's performance wise, plus there kinda pricey .... love to hear your thoughts

Not. I have heard they commonly cause problems. Same for the Hypertech. I did have the Hypertech when modified 4.0L. It did nothing but make my engine ping. Your money is better invested in a programmable SCT tuner or a piggy back such as the Unichip.

Re: TO "JET CHIP" OR NOT TO "JET CHIP" ?
I loved what the jet2 did to my 94 2dr 2wd ax15 w/ full borla, k&n fipk, 62mmtb, and 99+ intake manifold--it was way snappier and responsive. I rolled the 94 at 80mph(dumb@$$) and then bought a 96 2dr 2wd ax15 and swapped all the goodies over and tried the Hypertech3, but it pinged on whatever setting I tried. I then bought the obd2 jet2 and it made a tiny difference, but not as much as the obd1 jet2 did. I say the chips are worth $100 used, but definitely not $300 new.

Yeah, this is what i've heard from many jeep user the slight performance you feel on the gas padle does not justify the price of the chip

Been there and done that with the JET Stage 2. Don't waste your money on it.JEEP DRIVER wrote:I was wondering if any body here has used the "JET CHIPS" for the ob1 jeep 4.0; Do they really do all the stuff they say they do? and did any body notice any real hp gains or torque?
