OBI Up graded To a OBII ?

Hey, every one i was just wondering if it is possible to up graded your computer OBI computer to a OBII. I have notice that 93 cherokee computer connection are very similar to the 91 and 92. I would like to remove the OBI computer and replace it with a OBII from a later jeep that has the same motor and tranny but i am not sure it would work? I also want to install the (scanner tool connection at the bottom of the dash) as well, so that i can make adjustmantet with a scanner tool or lab-top. Just curios if it is possible or if any one has done it?

There are so many little differences between OBDI and OBDII hardware that it wouldn't be easy. If you had the later vehicle's PCM, wiring harness and sensors than it should be doable. Its not plug and play by any means.
