Megasquirt program
anyone have a megasquirt program that they wouldn't mind sharing for a 4.6-7 stroker?
Or be able to point me in a direction for one.
It would be nice to start with a baseline that works for someone else.
Tnx.

Re: Megasquirt program
I have running my 4.0 twinturbo engine on a Megasquirt 2 with V3 board.
The final setup have I run now for 1.5 years and are very satisfied with it, work very well.
It takes a time to configure it right but that's the interesting part.
Right now I have started to configure it for the new 4.6 stroker twinturbo engine I put in this weekend put it's most the VE tabel and regfuel I must change, the idle step motor, sensors , basic setups and spareports for the electrical fan are the same.

Re: Megasquirt program
how are you fitting 2 turbo's on a 4.0l and what are the specs of the 4.6 your building? i've been playing around with the idea of turboing my stroker but i think my scr/dcr might be too high

Re: Megasquirt program
First setup they are fitted low at the back of the motor but I have started to build a new manifold to put them high instead.
Little picture of it here:
http://www.jeepstrokers.com/forum/viewt ... f=8&t=1888
My stroker motor have:
Keith black pistons 0,30
Molychrome rings
Mopar purple perfomance camshaft
Ported cylinder head with mira grinded valves
Amc -73 crankshaft 12 counterweight
707 rods
Cloyes doubleroller camshaftchain
Mopar high volume oilpump
Balanced, blueprinted and overboring 0,30
And I have not milled the block because of the turbocharging.

Re: Megasquirt program
Turbo man: what beauty you have designed here. Nice to see someone applying such creative techniques to our six. BMWs have had twin turbos offered for years, one on each three cylinders like you did.
I WONDER WHEN SOMEONE IS GOING TO APPLY THE principle of, "One ThroTTLE BODY PER CYLINDER,"? It's a logical move, as it has so much performance potential.

Re: Megasquirt program
It HAS been done. Plechtan used that setup on his booneville mj. He has some good pics in his project thread. I agree its cool, but I think it would be a chore to but boost to it.

Re: Megasquirt program
I have a working setup on my stroker but the VE table are for turbocharging and large injectors but you could use the setup for the rest.
Crankwheel have I made my self and but in front of the vibrationdamper the ignition is very special with 6 coils and optical sensors but the setup is for 1 coil.
I have MS2 V3 board and code 2.890 in it.

Re: Megasquirt program
Thanks for the info!!!
I will send you a pm with my email address if you could send me your configuration file I would really appreciate it.
I am currently assembling a megasquirt MS3 on a 3.0 board and in process of building an engine run stand so that I can work out the bugs before I install it in my 1990 MJ. I am still studying and searching for data and info on what configuration I will run....
I would eventually like to run sequential injection, but would still like to keep a distributor if possible. I too am thinking of installing a tach wheel on my harmonic balance, but am not sure how many teeth it will have. I am also hoping to find a distributor that will function as a cam position sensor.
Thanks again,
Ralph
