alrighty, i am down to header choices and I still am confused as to which one flows the best. It seems the Borla 17039 has changed design and was no longer recomanded by Hesco. they suggested i look into the JBA1526S header. it seems this one has 1.5" primaries with a 2" collector. i have one coming next week just to take a look at it and see if it would work.
Does anybody have a good recomendation besides the junk APN headers. I just cant justify putting on an inferior product in a high fail rate application. I would rather utilize a brand I sell so warrantys are not a problem if needed. I would like to know what part numbers people are using for the split header design with two 2' collectors.

I run a Borla 17202 heat wrapped to the collectors into 2-2" pipes into a 3" pipe to a 50 series flomaster, then 2.5" out the back.

what vehicle do you have that header in?? is it a cherokee or comanche? I am curious about it fitting in my slammed MJ utilizing a 94 block and head witha 00 XJ intake.

Why are APN junk inferior products? Ive read more of borlas cracking and my APN has held up just fine for a few years now....
Now I can be like all those other awesome people with more than one Jeep in their sig, but now I have to say one of them is sold:(

Its in a YJ but they are short headers. They are made to have catalytic converts bolted to the bottom of them. I have mine running in front of the oil pan and doesn't hang any lower than the bottom of the oil pan.1BADMUDR wrote:what vehicle do you have that header in?? is it a cherokee or comanche? I've heard that the Borla headers that are similar to the factory headers crack in the same place near the collector.

Some Borla headers have indeed cracked and a bad driver's side engine mount is often a contributing factor. I've had mine for 12 years and 156k miles with no problems.YJason wrote:I've heard that the Borla headers that are similar to the factory headers crack in the same place near the collector.

A regular splashing of cold water during stream crossings tends to shorten the lifespan a bit.
