Thrust pin and spring
Could anyone tell me if the crankshaft cover is what the thrust pin and spring ride on? I guess I'm have trouble understanding the purpose of this. Thanks Dale

Re: Thrust pin and spring
Yes, it rides on the timing chain cover. Its supposed to keep the cam from walking forward.

Re: Thrust pin and spring
Consider getting a new spring /pin for this conversion, some find a older weak spring can cause serious problems.

DWG and I are both running this mod with no problems. I am sure you could do something similar and it would work also. Oh and thanks DWG it works great!

Re: Thrust pin and spring
I was thinking of something similar using a small hardened bolt and nylon bolt. Where can I locate the aircraft screw?
