Hey I just pulled my 4L out of my jeep comanche, the last year of the amc, and the first year of the chrysler 4L, I got a crank from a 258ci from a buddy for a case of beer already machined and balanced. I know I need to get 4.2L con rods, and I was going to get a comp cam not sure which one though, now the head is non HO, its the old style, I've already blue printed it and did a mild port grind, (basically ground down all of the crap from casting it so its relatively smooth), now I was curious to how crazy I could go with this head, I'm worried about grinding into the water jacket. Has anybody done this before and could you tell me what you did so I can know whether or not I'm going in the right direction or not lol. I'm going to keep it a 4L but I figured I would get a bit more torque if I did the swap to a different crank. Mize well do something cool when you have it all torn apart right?
Help would be much apreciated! need to get this project done so I can get another one lol.
