Summit Piston Rings

Post by Maddawg »

I hi all, Been gone for a bit , but slowly plucking away at my motor now that I have some more time. Seem to have an issue with my rings! I have my holes bored .030 (3.090) over and H825 pistons .030 over with Summit Piston Rings (Summit SUM-133-139-30) http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-133-139-30/ . My problem is the rings OVER lap in the bore about .375 when trying to check my gap.( I can't even come close to fitting them when I have them on the piston. Any advice? Maybe they packaged wrong rings in the box?thanks Dale
