Nice write up! Did you keep tally of the total cost? What you did sounds 90% of what I want to do with mine.

i did, but i am afraid my wife will find this thread :smack:
i have to get it into excel or something for a quick and accurate total. i have all part numbers and order numbers and hyperlinks in the document too

i believe it was something like $2200 + machine shop labor

much of that was not shopped too hard, mostly ordered from a handful of places to keep the shipping costs down. summit ended up holding an order on me until they spoke to me because i had so many orders over such a short period of time. like i said, i was sort of in a rush to get it back on the road. also didn't skimp, like the double roller timing set, molly rings, cam, flow matched injectors, lifters, all new valvetrain etc.

going to be building a long rod motor for a friend in a couple of months, will let you know how that goes.
