Does anyone know if the piloit bearing for a 4.0 will fit in the 258 crank?

Dr. Dyno wrote:The 53009180AB pilot bearing will work with the AMC 258 crank & '92-'99 AX15, but it won't work with the '89-'91 AX15. You need pilot bearing 33004041 so the stealership was correct.
It appears that all 4.0L did not have the same bearing.

I used the pb77hd bushing from AA($3-5). It has a 1.06" OD and .75"ID.

I an trying to get all the correct parts for my engine swap. Hopefully in and out and running within a couple days. I don't have my engine out to look at. Does the pilot bushing go into the big diameter hole close to the trans, or the smaller hole further in the crank.

I bought a pilot bearing today from oriellys. Part number fc69907 $11.99 + tax. The dealer wanted $25.00. It's a big metal sleeve with a roller bearing pressed in it. I hope it's the correct bearing.
