What would be the proper color to paint the stroker? I was thinking chyrsler blue, with a fresh coat of silver on the intake and head, and maybe some red or more blue on the valve cover? What do you guys think?

Feel free to post any pics of your paint jobs as well!!!

Thanks,
Jake

I'm somewhat partial to AMC blue.

They did design the engine after all.

I went with Hemi Orange with everything block-wise and did a glass black valve cover. I figured the SRT models have orange blocks, why not mine?

I can't see doing the whole engine over, and painting it plain black again. No offense to anyone who has black but it's too boring for me 8-) I want people to know that it's not a stock engine.

I think I am going with the AMC/Chryco blue on the block and valve cover and maybe silver or black on the head.

I saw in a streetrod magazine where they painted an engine they were building candy green (i guess that's what you'd call it). Looked really cool!! Was a nice sparkly deep hotrod green. With the chrome pieces it really stood out. Would only work if your jeeps color worked with it though. If you're going for a stock look, perfect. If not, the sky's the limit!! Go crazy!
(That said, mine is boring black!!!)

I've got a red xj and everything below the trim level is black axles, diff covers, and such, so i'm going to paint the block and head red, pan black and maybe a clear or aluminum colored powder coat on the intake manifold.

I went with the blue and I like it. The head is black and I think I am going to leave the valve cover black too. Looks good with the silver intake and the blue block.

As of this minute I have my block AMC blue. Now not sure if I'm gonna do the head the same. It came back from the shop black, but he did a half a$$ job so it's repaint time.

Yeah, not sure if I am going to use them though. I can't seem to get the right preload on them :D
