Take the Poll!

I put a poll under "stroker basics" to see what most people spend on their builds. I think it is probably around $2,500 by the time they are done with everything. But who Knows. Maybe people are generally spending more or less than most of us think.

Well we have 35 people who took the poll so far, and it looks like adout 2/3 of the people spend $2,500 or less But 1/3 spend more. It looks like a curve is starting to form, with the center at $2,500.00 It is interisting that nobody who took the poll said tha they purchased a complete engine. I thought sombody would have purchased a Ebay or Hesco Stroker.

For the people spending over 2K, they must be purchasing some performance parts. I would assume a Cam is probably the most common. Then followed by head work, intake manifold, exhaust headers, etc. Pistons are probably another popular option.

So we seem to have a split, with about half of the people doing "low buck" ( 2k or less)strokers, and half the people buying performance parts for their engines.

The next thing to find out would be the most common upgrade, and see if it was money well spent. If you have a limited budget, do you buy the cam or the 99+ intake? for example.

I purchased a complete engine once. And it was a piece of crap. Then I built my stroker.
