Jeep Strokers

Has anyone used or considered a lightweight flywheel for their stroker builds? Are they even available? Tossing around ideas in my head .. figured i should ask around

I've run them on the street and track but I wouldn't run one on a wheeler, the extra inertia is good for off roading and plain cruising, light fly wheels are for engines that NEED! acceleration.

I'd run a lightweight flywheel on a racer, or - Gawd help me! - a ricer.

I wouldn't run one on a truck. I'm going to be looking for a 12-cw crank when I finally do my stroker, and I may even have an inertia ring added to the flywheel as well (I'll definitely add one if I can't find the 12-cw crank!) It's a truck - I don't need throttle response. However, having the ability to walk out of a standing start in third gear has come in handy from time to time...

I was considering one. I talked to fidanza and they would make them if they were bought in lots of at least 10X$500each--they already make a standard one. So that leaves the Hesco one: http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=det ... catId=7848 . Now if you check it out, it says it does not include the ring gear(?), and that you'll have to yank one off an automatic flexplate.
