Re: Suggestions
How aboot a "model specific" section? Let's say you have a question about engine mounts for a '98 XJ, or A/C compressor belt for a 2006 TJ? Anything that goes beyond 4.0 stroking and is specific for a particular Jeep model.

Re: Suggestions
This forum should be mostly oriented towards anything and everything I6 stroker related.Exos wrote:How aboot a "model specific" section? That stuff sounds more like something that should belong on a forum like NAXJA ... or in the general tech section on this forum.
Or did i misunderstand?

Re: Suggestions
It was thinking about a guy who's stroking his I6, but has a problem with motor mounts or serpentine belt, etc... for let's say a CJ. But yes, this could go in "general tech". Just thinking outloud here.

Re: Suggestions
Thats a tough one... Depending on the contents of the post that is made (and if it was made in the stroker section) i may move it to the "General Tech" forum. I think its all relative to the specific post and poster. More likely than not it does belong in General Tech.Exos wrote:It was thinking about a guy who's stroking his I6, but has a problem with motor mounts or serpentine belt, etc... for let's say a CJ. I definetly dont feel it warrants model specific forums though...
Thanks very much for your suggestions .. everyone ... keep them coming!

Re: what about a readers rides forum?
thanks for the link
its nice but i still think that readers rides subforum will be nice for all of us who wanna update here about their jeep status and mod's from the last time they did- and insted of opening a new topic every time- they will have their own rig topic in readers rides.
its just my opinion and i think it can be very interesting for all of us.

Re: Suggestions
This group is all about stroking / modifying the I6 in our Jeeps. Thats the purpose of this forum. I think we accomplish what your inquiring about in the thread SilverXJ pointed you to. Also, the "Projects" forum is great for things of that nature. Even if you have already built your stroker, you can still tell us all about your set-up in your own Project thread.
Hope that helps.

Re: Suggestions
Maybe this has been covered before, but how about a "introduce yourself" forum, or expand the user profile to include pictures( for doantors?) and other background information if a person wanted. maybe both would be good. This is about engines, but it is also about people.

It would be nice to put a face to a name, and learn more about the people on here. There are a lot of us that have been on here since the begining...it feels more like good friends or family when posting.

Re: Suggestions
I think it may be something good to make a subforum of locations of all members where its easy to see if you may have another member in your area.Im sure it may help to get things going outside of this forum. Helping fellow members first hand and meeting up possibly. Could list members by state then a local city. Guess alot depends also on how many people there really is. Just a suggestion. Any one else think this may be a good idea?
