wrambler, didnt even know he had posted about his cam, thought he might want to see how this one goes.not trying to promote his product, i just don't know all the technical stuff.i have no affiliation with and nothing to gain by him selling his cam kits, just want a stroker to keep up with the small block jeeps around here. sorry for any confusion.

Near as I can tell all he does is post , Roller cam kit for sale.

That's it, To sell cams and kits we need to see who, what , how, when?
You said yours is a prototype! Well, he sure is marketing them quick if you just got yours running!

Like I said, we want info!

Not blaming you at all!

Cast core for a roller lifter? Sounds like a bad idea. Rember this picture form Sixpac?

yeah We've both tried to get 505 to talk in a conversational way about their claimed roller cam... Problem is they don't seem interested in a dialog either here or with Muad'Dib or myself, they just want to post the same thing, which looks like spam to both of us.

We've asked them to put an ad in the vendors deals section of the classified (or in for sale) and to come talk about the cam in here in a normal non sales pitch way... I'm guessing the sales guy that registered as 505 is not especially net savvy. It's there loss this may not be the biggest forum but if there's a more performance oriented bunch of Jeepers who would be receptive to their product, then this group I don't know about it.

On a purely roller cam related note: if they're using hardened iron blanks I would let Jp there get some miles on before I ordered one of these...

That's my thought completely, Plectan is working on his and it sounds more long term friendly. Since he is intent on using quality blanks or billet, or so I gather?

I have every intention of following through with this sometime in the coming year. In fact I fully expect to plop more cash into the roller cam than the rest of my engine! I have gather all the basics for my Poor mans stroker. My only needs for the shortblock is a set of rings and the decision of wether to have oletshot dish my pistons. I'm leaning closer to doing that, but not quite decided as of this minute. Anyway, I'm rambling.

My current plan is to install the roller cam into the 4.0L in the American along with the 99 intake upgrade and run the snot out of it to see what is what.
Then if all works as planned I'll move the roller cam to the 4.5L

The reasoning is/was to ensure I had a workable cam setup before risking my fresh engine. Now, if I get reports of smooth sailing with a production roller cam I will probably just do the whole 4.5L-rollercam swap at once.

jptrucking, is there a plan for this cam to come out or be inspected at a later date or mileage point? I'm not real hep on spending a grand on an experiment designed by someone else? I'll probably work with plechtan or someone else before I lay out that kind of cash on a hardened iron shaft?

I really want one of these NOW

Tomorrow I get my spinal cord stimulator, if that works I'll really want one NOW

If it doesn't work :boom:

Do it they're super pretty, and you'll regret it if you don't

I don't even have a gear on my cam, external oil pump, and the ECU does not need the cam signal.
