I have no problem if somebody has a new product to sell, maybe they should post it here or in the Classifieds, but they should not clutter up the tech threads hawking their wares.
I am sure 505 is very technically competent, and has a great deal of knowledge they could share with the group, other then their price list.

I agree with you 100%. I like that they have some form of roller cam, and it is nice that they informed us, but they gave no details. I was going to see how they proceed in the future on the forum, then say something. I find it inappropriate for them to try to sell stuff in every tech thread. I have emailed them twice in the past regarding parts and their emails were replies were always curt.
I say we give them a little room and see where they are going to go. If they do nothing but advertise with no info, then do something about it.

I wouldn't mind if they started their own thread with some pictures how the lifters are installed, tech details of the cam, like what material is it made out of? Dyno runs with the different profiles would also be welcome. If it is a tech thread it should talk about why a part is better or worse than another, not just where you can get it and the price.

Thanks for making this post, otherwise i wouldnt have even noticed the spam. In the future it would be best to inform me of these kinds of things either via pm or email.
I have given them a warning, and have deleted the posts. I informed them of the infraction via private message. Hopefully they understand that their posts are not helpful to our users in their threads. A classifieds post would be more appropriate.

Yeah I just scrambled around looking for 505 posts to move/delete having only seen the one that's quoted in the roller cam thread. When I couldn't find any I looked for something like this thread... I think we should politely inform them that they need to post ads in vendors section by contacting us.

That said I'm sure there is interest in a sub $1000 dollar roller cam (that custom job that never got started was going to cost over $2000)... So what 505 needs to do is be gently prodded into posting about it in a conversational tone and give details about it... without any sales pitch and without obviously ignoring relevant questions...

I just want to let everyone know that we have built our own roller cam with the help from Tim at bullet cams, The camshaft come in three stages stage one rpm 1000 to 4800 stage two 1400 to 5400 and stage 3 1600 to 6200 complete with 4340 3/8 push rods custom lifter with removable link bar and beehive spring retianer kit I will give you specs later today as I'm very busy trying to run the business, I have listed all specs on one camshaft on my webb page it is . Sorry for delay as we just got thru installing third one. No special tools required, you must remove the head and you need long pair of pliers for install of lifters and link barsI will try to help as much as possible.

keep the info coming. It's a very worth while upgrade if it will stand the test of time.
Keep us informed on how the installs go and there longevity.
If they do have problems don't be afraid to say so because there are a lot of very smart and informative people on this site that know loads about the 4.0, not to mention this upgrade has been looked into by a couple of people on hear so maybe they can share some ideas!

Re: 505 Performance tech on cast roller cam
All our roller cams come from a hardened blank Rockwell 52 then hardened to 56 to 58 Rockwell .100 deep" factor chevy roller is about 56 Rockwell". in trial test we saw no wear after 2500 miles on the camshaft. Spring pressure can not exceed 120 on the seat and 325 open, expected life for the roller cams are 70,000 to 140,000 miles depending on driving conditions.The billet roller camshaft have a draw back and that is you must use a brass gear because it is a billet blank, so if you must use a brass gear plan on changing timming gears out every 1500 miles, we have four months of r&d on these camshaft and to the best of our knowledge the cast blanks should work perfect for every application in the hydraulic world, About 10 years ago you could order a hydraulic roller camshaft for a standard distributed gear{chevy only} and it was a cast camshaft just like 505 performance cam, and up till about 5 years ago you couldn't get a billet with a cast gear, know they make a removable rear cam main lobe and they press the cast cam gear in place, this is on a chevy motor, we don't have that option in a jeep do we since our drive gear is in the middle. Please advise that is why a cast blank may be our only option for long term divisibility

I know this is an old thread but has there been any changes to the cam in the last 2 years? Also I see the spring seat 120 and open load at 325 max. What is the coil bind set at and what is the spring install height. I started to order one last week but I emailed and did not receive a response on these questions.
I did however get a response on the 214 218 cam I had previously inquired about. After much debate I really am thinking hard on the roller, although I must say the 70,000 mile comment scared me. I drive 44 mils a day to work and drive it to River Rock and Harland Kentucky from Florida, miles add up fast. Has there been any upgrades or rethinking of the mileage estimate.
I have had my stroker torn down 7 times in three years, mainly because Titan has no clue the first 5 times. The last time I did it my self with a competent machine shops help. I tore it down this time because the 111 lobe separation is killing my mileage and idle.
