Still trying to wrap my head around all this stroker stuff. Looking for experience and opinions. First time posting on this board.
92 XJ, 4.0L, Auto, 33x10.50, 4.10 axle gearing, 420,000KM original engine, Gonna build a stroker for when the time comes....tic tock, tic tock..... lol
The Truck is a daily driver and weekend warrior, sees alot of dirt throughout the year. Truck spends the work week between sea level and 200-300ft elev. and goes up above 7000-8000 on weekends and summer back road trips. I like the torque and power curves of the stock 4.0L and I am building up a stroker because I am rebuilding an engine anyways to swap in before I really findout just how long the old 4.0L can go for.
Here is what i have in mind. please tell me what i have not considered/didn't realize. educate me if you will, or suggest otherwise.
4.6L Low-buck, low CR "rockcrawler" - Slightly Altered - help me make something like this work.
Jeep 4.0L block (53020569)
Jeep 4.0L Head (7120)
Jeep 4.2L 3.895" stroke crank (3727)
Jeep 4.2L 5.875" rods (707)
Silvolite UEM-222 or 677CP +0.030 bore pistons
Increase piston dish volume to 30cc (I am unsure even if this dish is possible... the recipe says so but the FAQ says otherwise...)
8.75:1 CR (???????????? when I put the numbers from the recipes into the calc.... I always end up with numbers that don't jive???? Please let me know what I am doing wrong here?)

Ported HO 1.91"/1.50" cylinder head
Mill block deck 0.035" (I would like to avaoid milling the deck if possible... However I need advice on this as well)
Mopar/Victor 0.043" head gasket
0.058" quench height ( this is also unknown??????)
Ford 24lb/hr injectors with stock 39psi FPR for '87-'95 engines
1999 or newer Intake/stock throttle body
Header of some sort, 2.5" or 3" exhaust, free flowing, etc.
234hp @ 4500rpm, 311lbft @ 3300rpm <--------- I would be quite happy with numbers like these as i ca count on one hand the number of times my engine has been over 4000 RPM, rarely over 3200 RPM

I do not know the DCR for either of the above engines. I am not looking for huge horsepower or High CR (more like LOW CR). I would be very happy with a 40 hp and 60-70 ft/lbs jump some of which I am sure will come from the newer intake. My main concern is being able to burn 87-90 octane fuel.
So ...... please help me figure out how to acheive these goals.
