 good afternoon all! So I have planned a stroker build on paper about 3 weeks ago with all my part numbers etc. Now that the block is at the machine shop and they have given me the bore size it’s going to clean up to, .030, Summit nor anyone else has the pistons available in anything except standard bore. Kb424c😞. Any suggestions for an equivalent in this price range; >$350 sets/rings 9.3cr
Everything I’m finding is twice that price and nobody can confirm when my original choice will be available again.

Hi Joel,

Although I don’t have a direct answer to your question when the KB424 pistons will be back in stock, but I do offer an alternative.

I offer a 4340 forged piston with either a 26cc or 28cc dish.
Besides it being forged the other advantage is my compression height is 1.385 versus the KB424 being 1.353

What’s this amounts to is your machine shop will have to surface your block (approximately .025 to .030) to achieve a zero deck, versus mine that without enduring the extra machining costs to the block that will help offset the cost of my Pistons at $650.00 a set.

Feel free to reach out to me and I’ll be happy to set you up or answer any questions that you might have on my Pistons or any of my other products

Thanks,
Russ Pottenger
