0630 big valve head ID

Post by tysonxj »

I just bought this head, curious if anyone can help ID it. I was surprised there appears to be little to no porting done. The seller indicated the valve springs seemed quite stout, I will have to measure them.
Any guidance or recommendations would be appreciated.

Apart from bigger valves that appear to be shrouded by the chamber walls, this looks like a stock unported 0331 head

Ya that's not a 0630 head. It's a TUPY 0331 head and it doesn't look like it's modified in any way. Maybe slightly larger valves but likely stock valve seats, which would not be ideal.

Recommendations will depend on what your goals are for the engine. First steps would be to measure the valves, check the valve seat contact width/concentricity, measure the springs for spring rate, install height and distance to coil bind.

Thank you for the feedback. Not sure what I was thinking with the 0630.
