Fuel injectors in 2023

Post by amcinstaller »

4.6 stroker:
Ported head
Big valves
Comp 239 cam
99 intake
Non return fuel rail
97 grand cherokee pcm

From what I understand, I'm after the  Bosch 0280155784. Is this correct? Does anyone know of a reputable source?

Motormanfuelinjection.com has remanufactured for $35 each
CSPinjectors.com has a set of four remanufactured for $130 or $196 on Ebay for some reason

I use injectorRX.com out of Texas for all my fuel injector cleaning. They charge about $80 for four but I've never had a set come back that wasn't right.

Hit an auto wrecker in another city while on other business today. I was able to secure a set of 4 injectors from a 99 Plymouth breeze, which is the chrysler number supplied by motormaninjection. Brought them home and got to looking, they have a different connector from the connectors on my harness. My harness has the older connectors, like the HO setups. Back to research I guess

That's annoying when that happens. Although good information. I'll add "double check injector connector" to my list of things when I get the intake on. I was just going to buy four new ones myself but now I know to look out for that. My build is a hodge podge of two cj7s and two cherokees so I'm running into all kinds of stuff like this.

Mod builds in general are 'fun' lol. Mine is an AMC Spirit, with jeep drive train parts, a Ford rear end, some GM clutch parts, and a whole slew of aftermarket.

My notes on this so far:
For the HO obd1 harness, stock injector is chrysler #53030343
(Curremtly in the car running)

The 97 grand obd2 harness I'm putting in, stock is chrysler #53030778
(Same connector, same height, different resistance I believe)

Chrysler #04669938 has the right height but wrong connector

Chrysler #4669471 is too short but has the right connector

Chrysler #5277739 is the right height, right connector and 4 hole. I believe THIS is the candidate

Those injectors have EV6 connectors. If yours are the earlier style EV1, you could buy a set of EV1 to EV6 adapters.
