hello guys

am new to stroker world anyhow I have punched the ICON Premium Forged Piston and Ring Kits IC944KTM.040 and planning to install the Scat Series 9000 Cast Pro Comp Stroker Lightweight Crankshafts 9-4.2L-3895 (SCA-942010), I have already machine my block to the desired bore for ICON piston and have some questions:

1- will I need to balance my crankshaft to the bob weight of the components?
2- can I run this set up with a Comp cam 239 ( SKU 68-239-4 ) ?
3- can I fit this crankshaft with OEM bearings ?
4- will I get my pistons up to the dash with my OEM connecting rods ?
5- if any one has fitted this crankshaft what was your setup ?

thanks

1. Since the engine is an externally balanced I6, the only thing you need to do is weight match the connecting rods.

2. Yes, but you'll need to upgrade the valve springs.

3. Yes.

4. The pistons will end up ~0.027" below the deck so you'd be well advised to shave 0.020" from the deck.

5. This crankshaft is a copy of the #3727 crankshaft that was fitted in '87-'90 AMC 258 engines.
