Post by greers85 »

Can anyone verify the proper combo of pump and pick up. I have the Melling M81 and the 242s. I have installed the tube using the tool and something isnt right.holes are not lining up.

mount it on the block, measure it to see where it is in relation the the oil pan, it will likely have to be bent/twisted.

Is the bead roll on the pick up tube flush against the oil pump?

That is the correct oil pump and oil pump pickup

It is fully engaged in the pump. I feel like IH 392 is correct, this pick up may be bent. I have sent some photos to Melling to get their opinion.
