Compression ratio

Post by Madmic2980 »

Hi guys i am living in Africa and there are no performance engine shops here. So its a do it your self. I busy with a 4.6 stroker
Part list

Edelbrock Aluminium head
Roller rockers 1.6
Cosmetic head gasket, MLS, 4.000 in. Bore, .040
COMP Cams CL68-239-4
62mm throttle
Banks Torque headers
63mm into 76mm full exhausts
Ecu unlocked with Hp tuners with premium fuel map
The question is the full scat rotating assembly with comp ratio of
9.6 or 10.7 ?
Fuel used will be 95 octane (93Ron)
Calculated compression ratio with 10.7 kit
Static 10.81:1
Danamic 9.47:1
Calculated compression ratio with 9.6 kit
Static 9.67:1
Danamic 8.49:1
What stroker kit would you recommend?

Given that you'll be using 95 RON octane (91 US octane) I'd recommend you go with the lower 9.6:1 compression ratio.
