Are all 4L Bell housing Bolt Patterns the same?
I'm done with this 42RLE transmission in my 06' LJ. I have contemplated adapting to a 700R4 or a 4L60 with an aftermarket ECU but the AW4 in my Cherokee's have never let me down. We've all seen the AW4 swap write up at Stu Olson's Jeep Site where the AX-15 in a TJ is replaced with an AW4. They didn't have much trouble bolting the AW4 up to the Manual TJ Block. Is this the case for all 4.0L Blocks? I've never seen a write up on 4L Bellhousing Bolt Pattern changes from 87'-06'.

Re: 4L Bell Housing Bolt Patterns
I don't believe there were any changes to the bolt pattern.
