1991 Jeep 4.0 Going to 4.6 - will HS5713A Gasket Set Work?

Hi,

In the process of doing a stroker using a 4.2 crank into a 4.0 with Keith Black pistons, 60 over. The goal is to have a zero deck and a tight quench. I was told that the Victor Reins HS5713A gasket set would be perfect. However, I see it's listed for 99+ 4.0's. Will this set work for a 1991? I've heard that there are differences so wanted to check with you all. Using 7120 head and an aftermarket exhaust header from a 4.2. The vehicle is a 1988 Wrangler 4.2, pulled the 4.0 from a 1991 Cherokee.....

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Vernors

These Victor Reinz head gaskets are multi-layer steel and will work on ALL 4.0 engines. It's exactly the same head gasket as the Mopar Performance P4529242. The old composite head gaskets have long since been discontinued.

The late gasket kit will work as Dino mentioned, but you will need a Fel-Pro VS50522T valve cover gasket for your early valve cover.
