injectors
I picked up a stroker cheep. 258 crank and rods. not sure about cam.
I have a 1998 horse intake and stock exhaust manifold on it. 2" single exhaust pipe (no room to run duals or a bigger pipe).
63mm throttle body.
Will I need to pick up a new set of (bigger) injectors?
Or will I be ok.
I don't want to run it lean.

Re: injectors
Run the motor and check your fuel trims to see how much extra fuel is being applied.

Re: injectors
Great hopefully your scanner has live data. Fire up the engine with the scanner connected and go to live data. Then find your fuel trims.

Re: injectors
Nope is does not. very basic scan tool.
I will have to see if I can borrow one.
What numbers should I be looking for on the fuel trim?

Re: injectors
32 and 32 for long and short fuel trims would indicate the maximum added fuel. If you have a functioning upstream o2 sensor there is little chance you are running lean.

Re: injectors
The fuel trims should be as close to zero as possible. If the numbers are positive, the ECU is adding fuel to correct a lean condition. If they're negative, the ECU is removing fuel to correct a rich condition.
If your vehicle has an OBD 2 diagnostic port, I suggest you buy an ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD 2 module and plug it in. You can download a scanning software such as Car Scanner onto your smartphone that uses Bluetooth to connect to your ELM 327. You'll then be able to view live data and create catalog files for future reference. The software will also detect DTCs. I've used it on my Mustang and it works great.

Re: injectors
Haven't had a chance to test drive it yet.
But I was wondering it I ordered the Bosch 0280155703 injectors and installed them.
would they be too much for the motor if the stock ones we ok?
Or would this be a smart move and improve the performance?

Re: injectors
I have 0280155784 or 0280155923 (240cc at 3 bar) 4 hole injectors.
Or
0280156161 12 hole injectors. I also have ev6/ev1 adapters. Let me know if you'd like a set.
