Transmission Cooler and Fluid Info

Post by ‘01SilverXJ »

What is a good transmission cooler for my 4.6L stroker? I also need advice on fluid. I was changing the filter and the previous owner was running a certain fluid with a horrendous smell like cat urine. Does anyone know what fluid this is and should I flush it or replace it with the same fluid? Thanks

Biggest cooler you can fit! I have a 26kgvw cooler and run standard dextron3. my trans never sees 200 even on an 100+degree day. btw I don't use the cooler in the radiator either.
