I'm thinking about building a short rod stroker and I would like to know the difference between [if any] Russ's cast pistons and the clegg cast piston. I'm looking at something around 27-28 ccs.

I was taking an existing 2229 Silvolite piston and tracing the existing dish with a generous radius end mill cutter and lowering it to an overall depth of approximately .200 In order to achieve the desired increase in dish volume.
This is done on a CNC mill. Because of set up time I would typically do 3 to 4 sets at a time for to be cost effective.
Not sure what my competitors are doing, but clearly it’s much easier and therefore less expensive to do a full circular dish.
Not the correct way in my humble opinion. : )
I do have a couple sets of 24cc pistons on the shelf in a .060/3.935 bore if interested
Thanks,
Russ Pottenger
