Hey guys

I live in Egypt and I hope I can find some help please. As I can't find much experience help around here. Here is my car short details

4.0 Wrangler 1994, Runs 33'' tires. Drive mostly on pavement roads and some sand. Its my day drive car to work

I was going to do a piston ring job on my wrangler. After starting the job, it seamed its gonna be more than just rings. I mean I need new .010 bearings, .040 new pistons and new valve set. So I figured what the heck, lets just build a stroker since I always wanted one.
Problems my cash limit is 1000K and my knowledge is at the low. my idea is to do the following.

1. Hypereutectic Dish Pistons - 8.8:1 Compression Ratio by KB (KB421)
2. 4.2 connecting rods and crankshaft from junkyard
3. matching main and rod bearing properly .010
4. Stage 1 Performance Camshaft Kit by Cleggs (CE-J4-CAM1)
5. new head gasket and valve cover gasket
6. new valve set
7. 24lb injectors

Most of these part I will order online.
Then I have some questions
1. Forged or stock or Hypereutectic Pistons
2. Machine shop said they can install cylinder sleeves so I can use my stock standard pistons, Is that a good Idea ?
3. Do I have better option than what I listed above ?
4. What is the pros and cons of putting the stage 1 cam kit ?

Thank you guys so much in advance

It's almost impossible to build a stroker on a $1000 budget unless you can find the parts cheaply.
If you can find a good 4.2L crankshaft from a '72-'90 Wrangler in a local junkyard, that'll be a big help. You can reuse your existing 4.0L connecting rods and order a set of custom pistons from Russ Pottenger. He can also supply you with a modified version of the CompCams 68-232-4 camshaft with a reduced valve lift that'll enable you to use the stock valve springs.

Thank you for your answer. I already got 4.2 crank and rods for 150$
For the pistons I have two options. Either 677ap or 525p
Both .040 bore and 17.5 dish.
Which one you think is better ?
And to go with the 4.2 rods or my stock 4.0 ones ?

Since you already have the 4.2 crank & rods and you're on a very limited budget, you could go with the 677AP pistons and then you'd have an exact copy of my original poor man's stroker.

The stock 4.0 replacement piston utilized with the 4.2/3.895 stroke crank will need to be matched up with the shorter 5.875 258 connecting rod.

Have the H802CP pistons installed on the 4.2 rods. Then you'll be good to go.
