Injectors same for '88 & '98?

Got somebody looking to buy my old f55e-a2d injectors from my '98 for his '88 XJ. Would they work (flow rates aside)?

Hi Chris,
98 and down uses EV1 connectors. 99 to 06 EV6.
Of course you could use adapters if you choose.

Thanks Russ! Are there any other differences to be aware of like different impedence, physical size, or anything crazy like that?
