Making the leap

Hi all, Happy to find this forum.
I am making the leap and getting the parts needed to swap my 89 YJ's 4.2 head for a 4.0.
Reading through this forum, I have found much of the information and it is greatly appreciated.
Two questions I have which I have not been able to locate:
I modified my AX15 bellhousing to accommodate an external slave cylinder. It had a spot for a crank sensor. Would I be able to purchase and use a stock Crank Sensor instead of purchasing the kit from Hesco or similar?
The next question; is there a document which shows the wires to keep and the ones to remove from the engine wiring harness of the donor vehicle. What about the fuse panel from donor vehicle?
