Putting a 4.6 in my CJ7 and retaining the T176. With the 4.0 flywheel being 1/4” thinner it creates a problem to workout. Who has delt with the related throw out bearing depth issue and how? It looks like I’ll gain about 1/4” needed travel which is about and inch at the long end. I am thinking I can stack two of the throw out bearing back plates onto one bearings to gain about an 1/8” and 1/2” travel on the long end. Not sure if that will adjust out of the linkage or not.
Anyone have a clean solution?
