Hey guys,
While the Wrangler stroker is on blocks getting its trans sorted, the 0331 head on my daily 2000 XJ decided it wanted to crack after 200,000kms.
So I'm presently rebuilding the top end and looking at a simple list of improvement mods that can be done while I've got it gutted.
1. I've sourced an aftermarket 0331 that my cylinder head guy is porting out a little for me. I'll keep standard valve sizes
2. Exhaust headers
3. Upgraded 4 hole injectors*
4. DEI fuel rail and injector heat shield kit*
5. Thinner head gasket* for slightly higher compression? - Unsure about this one on a stock engine.
6. Aftermarket copper/brass radiator
7. High flow thermostat*
8. TBS. I have a spare one sitting at home, i know they're largely considered as snake oil but i have one so I may as well throw it on.
* - Yet to be acquired
How does the above sound? Would you have any other recommendations? I'll keep the stock intake system.
Regards,
Anthony
