Jeep Strokers

so I am researching doing a stroker engine for Old Moldy. I would like to use the 4.0 rods but don't want to spring for $500+ KB Icon pistons. Considering the popularity of this engine, there must be someone out there who makes a cast or hypertuetic piston for the 4.0 rod /stroker combo. I've looked but cannot find one. Has anyone else located anything or does KB have a monopoly on this market?

Russ Pottenger can supply you with a set of custom forged pistons, and I believe a set of six costs somewhere around $450. Very good value in my book.

I think I might have found what I'm looking for. What do y'all think of these?

I wouldn't use them. They're low compression pistons with a circular dish that provides no quench effect whatsoever.
OK if you're on a really tight budget, but would you really want to build a stroker that's merely OK?

Dino is absolutely correct. It's just not worth compromising your Stroker build utilizing a cast/ Hypereutectic piston that has a less than desirable design for around $200.00
