OPINIONS! 87 OCTANE STROKER

Hi I have all of the parts gathered up for a stroker build. I'm planning on running tight .043" or .051" quench, (depending on the head gaskets available) dished pistons 25cc+, Comp 232-4 cam and 60cc chambers. With this setup I get 9:1 SCR and DCR at 7.62:1. I will be towing quite a bit with this rig so I want to make sure that detonation is out of the picture. I live near sea level and would like to run 87 octane. I've read alot of threads about pump gas but I can't find much on running 87 octane specifically in a stroker motor. Does anyone have experience or advice with my compression numbers and cheap pump gas? Thanks.

8.98cr, .0565 quench, it loves the cheap stuff in west palm beach florida, about 75ft above sealevel. Gets better gas mileage with it too.

I am by no means an expert but I have started a few threads and listed a few articles in them like here...

my buildup is probably most useful. I am at 500ft above sea level, and I have no pings. Now granted it is like 25 degrees which keeps my engine temps and intake air cold, but so far so good. I would expect the same in the summer...IMO it is all about DCR and quench. My DCR was about 8:1 and my SCR was 9.6:1; quench hovering around .045
good luck, it should not be a problem

Isky 133125/26. Intake dur 256 and LSA 110. With my setup it works out to 7.56DCR. I also have 30cc pistons, so I can have a tighter quench but still keep comression down.
