High fuel pressure

In preparation for the stroker I'm building for my '94 YJ (and to perhaps get a couple of horsepower back to a dying engine) I have installed a map adjuster and adjustable fpr. To my surprise the pressure crept up to 60 psi and wouldn't move any lower. My fpr was used on a different efi system recently so I felt that wasn't the problem. I reinstalled stock fpr and still at 60 psi. Next I removed fpr and installed aluminum blank I made to replace fpr, so NO regulator, and STILL 60 psi. I ran out of time to diagnose further, but I think it's safe to say I have a restriction in the return line somewhere. That would probably explain the rich running smell...Haha.

Here's the blank next to the original fpr.

And the new adjustable fpr.

Hey, just out of curiosity...did that end up being a constriction in your return line causing this?

thanks,

I haven't dropped the tank yet, but I suspect a hose got pinched. Skid plate is starting to rust so I'll probably do skid upgrade, fuel pump upgrade, and fix restriction.
