Chad Golen has a very good reputation and builds a good engine.

I'm sure you'll be very happy.

X2
Chad's been in the stroker business for a long time and his engines are also reasonably priced. You'll be a happy bunny.

Does Golen have a core charge?

Engine builders will charge you for a engine core otherwise it's factored into the cost of the engine

Update...

Motor installed and breaking it in. For some reason I am getting 12 plus mpg in town which is strange due to the fact that I have a heavy right foot.
Love this motor.

If you dont mind me asking what did that beast cost you? Im just about to pull the trigger on my 2000 Wrangler and I want to be far from dissappointed. Have you tried pulling a boat or racing the local high school gear head? Give us a comparision on how it performs.

One of my customers told me he was quoted little over 5K for a long block without oil pan, valve cover, ..

I just installed my Golen 4.6 stroker. First motor I ever installed and not 1 buddy to help. I had at least 50 emails and dozens of phone calls, so I took advantage of that included tech support. I have 200 miles on it now and I'm throwing a 11 code but it started up and runs like a top. Lots more POWER. I have 6in lift 35in heavy toyo m/ts with 3.73 gearing and it powers thru 5th gear now way faster than I care to take a long arm lifted Wrangler. Stock my TJ would not run up a slight hill on the freeway in 5th gear now no problem. Gears are coming this week so it will be a real torque monster with 4.56. All in all I spent 7k and went big with all the bolt on parts for that little extra power. Chad Golen will give you a wicked engine and piece of mind with 3 year unlimited mileage guarantee and he's got a mountain of patience for newbies like me.
