Tunable ecu

Post by mountaineerjeff »

So, user friendly available tuning has always been an issue for our jeeps...well relatively recently HPtuners has added mopar ecu support, but they still don't support the older jeeps. But they support 05-06 wranglers, which came 4.0 powered.

Anyone think of any reason why I can just build an adapter harness to run the newer ecu?

You would have to swap out the flywheel as the number of teeth are different on those years than the older ones. Also the camshaft sensor is different too. Also, from what I read, that cam sensor does not have the best track record. Google search jeep wrangler laughing monkey.
