Omix ADA rocker arm issues

Hey guys, I had been lurking for quite some time but decided to join up when I started my 4.7L stroker build a few months ago. When I get more time I will put together a build thread for it but for right now I just need to get it running. So onto my question, has anyone else had any experience with the Omix ADA 4.0L rocker arms? The first set of them that I bought got gouged inside the pushrod pocket areas just from rotating the motor over a few times to check the lifter preload. I had to take the valvetrain back out when I hoisted the motor into the jeep and that's when I noticed the gouge marks. They seem to be caused by the rocker arms having sort of a *flat* pushrod contact surface and not a rounded one. I ordered another set just to compare and the new ones also have the flat pushrod contact surface. Are they supposed to "clearance" themselves and then wear in fine after that? It seems highly unlikely but I have no idea how this company can mass produce them like that if they wont even remotely work. Any input? I'd like to get my engine started up on Christmas day, but I'd also like my motor to last.
Thanks for the help, -Mason

I don't think I'd buy any engine parts from Omix. Buy some Clevite, sealed power or Mopar rockers. The last time I checked, the clevite rockers were made in America.

Or you could buy a set of Harland Sharp roller rockers from Summit Racing.

Omix Ada stuff is junk. All it is is repackaged junk sold at really dumb prices. Definitely get something else, literally anything else

... or you can buy them from me. :D

Depending if you want adjustables's or non-adjustable's
I'll be able to save you over $50.00 to $100.00 from Summits prices on Harland Sharp roller rocker arm kits with custom rocker ratio options at no additional cost.

Thanks,
Merry Christmas!!

Thanks for all of the quick responses guys. It was originally in my plans to go with the HS roller rockers but I am WAY over budget right now. However, seeing as I have spent $120 so far on two sets of crappy rocker arms, a set of roller rockers now seems reasonable for the extra insurance. So Russ, I will send you an email briefly to discuss options. Hopefully I will be able to return these stamped rocker arms for a full refund. Thanks again guys! I'll make sure to report back on my results.
