Desk top dyno

Does anyone have files for the Jeep 4.0 and cam files they would be willing share? I'm just getting started with Desk top dyno and any help will be appreciated.

For the head you'll need to create a new custom airflow file using the specs from the link I posted earlier, and save it as a .flw in the Cylinder Heads library.
For the header, just scroll down the drop down menu and select small tube headers.
For the cam, you'll also need to create a new custom cam file and save it as a .cam file in the Camshafts library.
How do I go about adding that to desktop dyno?
I'll need your e-mail so I can send you the .dyn file. Then you can download the attachment to your Dyno Files library.

Dino,
Last time I messed with any of the desk top Dino stuff must've been about 15-20 years ago.
Wayback when they weren't worth the box that they came in. I'm assuming that they've gotten a lot better?

My Dyno 2000 might seem like it's from the dinosaur age but it works well for older engine designs like ours and it's fun to play around with it. Unfortunately it can't simulate modern engines with variable valve timing, variable intake manifold runner lengths, and engines with more than 2 valves per cylinder. The newer dyno simulation programs are much more sophisticated and can accommodate the higher degree of data input required for modern engines.
As long as you input as many of the correct engine specs as possible, the simulated dyno curves can be surprisingly close to the real life dyno results.

ok I ran my specs. bore, stroke, compression with Dino's file and the 04 cam specs from Dino's cam chart and was very surprised at the torque #'s. I'm not on my home computer and don't exactly remember the hp #'s but with stock lift the torque was 333, Ill post back with the hp and rpms.The hp wasn't great though.

Frankly, I am skeptical about the torque numbers. Dino's simulation at 245 lb/ft is a bit high for factory numbers (should be 225 or 230)
Then increase the displacement by 15% and get a 36% increase in torque? With the same cam??
Did I miss something?

The cam specs are different, I'm not sure which cam Dino used. I used the specs from 96-04 in the chart. I also used a header since I have aftermarket exhaust.

I'll do another one for you with the stock '96-'04 cam specs quoting seat-to-seat timing as it might be more accurate. The TQ numbers below 3000rpm tend to be overinflated on this program but from 3000rpm upwards they're usually close to reality.
Remember this is for a 4.6L stroker with a stock unported 0331 head and a stock cam so you can't expect a high HP number anyway.
