Found this stroker specs spreadsheet buried on my hard drive; no idea where it came from. Might be useful, click upper left corner to zoom in:

Hey all,
Am I'm just a nOOb, or do the Clifford specs look kinda' sketchy, especially the quench?

It's legit--the piston is sitting .007" above deck and within the .042" HG, therefore quench is .035". Gotta like that 4" stroke.

How did they obtain the 4" stroke? Weld and grind the crank or custom crank?

I looked at Clifford stuff A LOT when I was first starting to do mods about two years ago. They make some BIG power claims. The guy I talked to on the phone never would give me a straight answer as to why I could never find anyone running their stuff, and just wanted to tell me how AMAZING their parts/engines were and how everyone else was using/building junk. He told me their 4.0 build with the Weber programmable fuel injection made 325-350 hp and 425-450 FTP TQ!!! Seems kinda high. I have heard their stuff used to be great when the founder Jack ran the company, but the quality was iffy now.

I believe this came from the Strokers Yahoo group that this forum evolved from.

It what we used to use, but now use our own CR Calculator.
If it feels right, then STROKE it!
You're lucky that hundred shot of CAPS LOCK didn't blow the welds on the forum!!

Okay, just did not remember where I got it. Kudos to the guy who did the research and fact-finding. :worship:
