Anybody got a lead on a c rankshaft that isn't $500? The few companies I've called said they didn't have one in stock. Thanks in advance.

UPS for that size/weight to the zip codes is approaching 100 bucks. The cranks will need to be turned 10 to be sure they are fresh.

Add it all up and your knocking on the 500 dollar window.

Russ can sell you one cheaper that's ready to run.

CL is the other option. Complete engines for 50 bucks are common.

There are 2 258 engines that should have the 12 weight crankshafts in them on the Atlanta craigslist. One is $100.00 the other is $200.00 they have been on there a while so maybe cheaper.
Russ are you seeing any problems with the scat cranks being out of spec? I remember reading a few builds where the scat journals were ground small. The builders ended up buying .001 oversize bearings from the dealer.

Advance auto sells reman 4.2 cranks with bearings for something like 150 ish give or take. the only problem is that you cannot specify 4 or 12 cw and most of the cranks are 4 cw. Find a jeep that has the crank you want and order it then when you get it your local advance will usually swap out the bearings for the it comes with for the year block you intend to use it in.
