WTF? Not a 258 crank!?!?

After weeks of waiting, I finally got my "258" crank in. Unfortunately, it appears the crank is none other than a 242 crank after all.
In the below photo, you can see a side-by-side comparison of the crank I bought (again, listed as a 258 crank) (top) and the crank I pulled from the '91 donor engine (bottom). The top crank has four counterweights, the bottom has eight. From what I read online, a true 258 crank has 12 counterweights. I need someone's expert advice before I go after the company I bought it from.
Any ideas?
