Can I plumb my fuel line like this & have it work as plan'd

Having a buggy with return line fuel system with adjustable PSI fuel system was awesome for adjusting A/F.

But now with a 98 TJ, and a single feed, return in tank system, I am looking at my options.

Will the below work as planned? Worried that the regulator will react oddly as well as the pump will fail prematurely due to fighting a pressure block and cutting off the flow.

If this is not safe/able to be reliable, can I plumb the bypass line from a regulator back in to the feed line say 12" closer to the tank near the added pump feed line?

Thanks

Take a look at Mike`s setup,

Personally I like the 91-95 return setup with an adjustable FPR. Inlet in the back of the rail, again like Mikes.

Not to sure who mike is, but I would love to have a return style. But the tank and fuel pump module in the 98 tank does not have provisions for that. I can pull the tank and do some mods to get a return bung, but thats ALOT of work in my case. Custom bumper tie ins and antirock alone has to come out/off and thats a Major PITA.

yeah he has a cell and a perfect option avail. same as your 4692 has Russ :-) I just cant do all that to a street and smogged tj. looking for other options.

I was trying to think how a T before the ext pump, then thru pump and then to reg and out of reg to rail and a bypass hose back to that T before the ext pump would work. kinda hard to visualize flow though at different scenarios with that setup and if it would feed and flow right at off idle to WOT.

Russ is correct, Mike Johnson.
A return line bunged into the tank would have the smog Nazis upset ?

How about this ?

Then look at the installation instructions.
