Turbo 4.x guys come in

Hey guys, new to the jeep world but not new to turbos or performance. I have a big turbo F-body that I'm hoping to take to Texas for tx2k this spring and I'm in the process of building a tow/trail rig out of a WJ. I had a 4.7v8 WJ that decided to bite the dirt so I'm scrapping it and bought a super clean white 4.0 2wd. My plan is to convert it to 4wd and swap my lift and tires over. But my question is about the turbo stuff
I have a race car that takes all my money already, I'm not looking for a Dyno queen or show numbers jeep. This will be a junkyard build not a money pit so...
I bought an eBay To4e 50trim turbo and made the flanges at work, found some spare tubing and will start on the fab work in a week or two when I get a chance. I have a cheap regulator and some flow matched svo 30# injectors. I plan to run 8-10psi for now and from what I've seen people say just throw some bigger injectors and a boost referenced regulator and you're good but what about the map sensor? Won't that mess with it?
No real way to tune these things from what I've gathered right?
I hope this is the right place for this, I know this is a stroker forum but I figured it's more geared towards 4.0 performance than any other site.
